Only one letter separates the French Riveria from a chicken joint…This is the story of how hotshot art director COLBY TEX heard CANE’S, not CANNES — Dead-set the chicken joint had international creativity festival plans!

This short film landed me a scholarship to Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Lions for the Maison Foundation competition. Not to be confused with the film festival. Though films are awarded here, and it is also a big-time festival in Cannes…that I did submit a film to.

This project is both my magnum opus and special salute to Roger “METRONADE” Moore Jr. — who saw what I see, sometimes, even better than me. This project is in memory of the greatest friend and partner I’ve ever known. Roger is no longer with us in this world, but his spirit follows every project I mold and shape. If you are to know me, you will know him.

We produced this in 10-days on a 1500 dollar budget. My directorial debut. And, my swan song to my brother.
