Only one letter separates the French Riveria from a chicken joint…This is the story of how hotshot art director COLBY TEX heard CANE’S, not CANNES — Dead-set the chicken joint had international creativity festival plans!

This short film landed me a scholarship to Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Lions via the Maison Foundation and their grant competition. Not to be confused with the film festival. Though films are awarded here, and it is also a big-time festival in Cannes…that I did submit a film to.

This project is both my (current) magnum opus and special salute to Roger “METRONADE” Moore Jr. — a partner, a friend, a mentor, and a brother to me. This project is in memory of the greatest I’ve ever known. Roger is no longer with us in this world, but his spirit follows every project I mold and shape. If you are to know me, you will know him.

We produced this in 10-days on some chump change. My directorial debut and swan song to a friend.
